Same City, Different Results

What up Good people,

Well, unfortunately The City of Hamilton is not the good luck charm I thought it too be and I don't have another "W" to post up here.

I'm writing this to let you know that your boy didn't even place (SMH). It was an INTERESTING battle (To say the least), but I will say that the person that SHOULD have won, did.

Be sure to check out the winner and my new friend: Simple Craft

Dude, came with some fire for real. There was a mix up in the decision making which led us all to believe that he didn't make the finals, but it was rectified in the last round and homey ran with it.

Congrats SimpleCraft!!

On another note, there were a number of learnings that I came away with from the battle that left me a tad perplexed, but my Momma used to always say if you ain't got nothing good to say, say nothing at all.

SO .................

On that note, I will end this entry with the tracks I created for the battle. Please like and share and all that good stuff and get at me if you wanna work or just chat.

ONE.

Round 1 is assigned sample, We we're assigned to one of four groups and then have to make a beat out of that sample.

Sample used: Mario Battaini E La Sua Orchestra - Il Padrino

Round 2 Sample at will, meaning you can sample as many of the songs or as few as one song in the Round 2 folder and you MAY use samples from the outside or other things like synths, etc..

Sample used: Barrington Spence - Speak Softly

Round 3 is the sample pack and you may use as many or as few of the songs/samples to make ONE beat, but you may not use ANY SAMPLES, DRUMS OR SOUNDS from outside of the sample pack except for spoken vocal snippets/dialogue (like a dj battle)

Sample used: Werner Mueller & His Orchestra

Godfather Beat Battle - Round 4 is the Waltz with the Godfather round in which participants must remix the song "Hugo Montenegro - The Godfather Waltz"
