Whut's good People!!
Been a long time (I shouldn't have left you...).
Been doing the family thing and life has a strange way of getting you wrapped up in its web that you forget to get some living in.
Anyhoo, a few weeks back I decided to enter the 2012 Battle of the Beatmakers competition to see what it's all about and to see if I have what it takes to run with the best of them.
Lo and behold, I came to the realisation that I have to "step up" my game. Not necessarily on the production side of things, (well, sort of..) but more so on the mixing side.
I've been adamant on the choice of style/sound that I wanted to contribute to the art, so I decided that I will remain true to what I feel is a true representation of what I consider Hip-Hop, but as for the way people hear it....
Well.. The title of the blog should sum that up for you.
New focus will go into how I perceive the sound of my music and I believe a new approach is required to how I create beats.
The journey begins again.
But this is not a restart or a do-over and I'm really excited about this. It is more of a Rejuvenation of this learning path I'm on and it has given me new wings.
I look forward to that first one all over again.
